Merchant sim game in Medieval times

Village Merchant is a premium simulation game for PC developed by Beast Games S.A. It is a management sim experience set during Medieval times. In it, players will experience setting up a merchant shop from the ground up and selling various goods to a diverse group of patrons. A demo version is available for a preview of the gameplay.

Purveyor of goods

In Village Merchant, you’re a Medieval merchant catering to the needs of patrons, from peasants to noble lords and passing rogues. Purchase and sell a wide assortment of goods, including weapons, armor, food, and rare items. You will need to maintain your wares, like sharpening blades and repairing steel, to keep them in pristine condition and increase their value.

As you progress and increase your reputation, unlock trade routes to be able to purchase new items to sell. Use your earnings to expand your shop and gradually work towards your dream of building an empire known throughout the land. Some things that can be improved on would be a greater variety of items to sell and additional gameplay mechanics to keep things fresh and interesting.

A slow but good start

All in all, Village Merchant has the makings of a good shop management sim with its interesting Medieval setting. If it can build upon its solid foundation with more gameplay variety, it would become a great option for fans of the genre. In its current state, the experience is a bit sparse, but it’s nevertheless worth giving a try if you like these types of games.
