The Vidhwa Pension Scheme is a state government-run program to assist poor and widowed women in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. The objective of this program is to help these women to live a healthy life.

This scheme was introduced in the year 2002-03 and has been running ever since. The amount of money that is being transferred to the beneficiaries is calculated on the basis of the number of registered voters in the district in which the beneficiary lives.

The eligibility criteria for this scheme are defined in the rules and the beneficiaries are chosen in a random manner.
