Video Download to NAS is a Chrome extension that allows you to download videos to your Synology NAS Docker using the youtube-dl program. With this extension, you can simply right-click on a video link or select the video address text and then right-click to bring up the context menu.

When you choose a resolution, the extension will save the mp4 file to the folder specified during the youtube-dl installation. However, please note that videos with resolutions higher than 1080p will be saved with the av1 codec, which may not be playable on your NAS.

To use this extension, you need to install the youtube-dl service on your NAS. In the settings, enter your youtube-dl username, password, and the youtube-dl access address followed by "/rest" in the REST API section, and click the save button to store the settings.

After right-clicking on a video link and selecting the resolution from the context menu, check if the download is successful in your NAS folder. If not, please verify that your username, password, or access address is correct.
