It is recommended to save your sketches as a tiff file and use them as a PDF or use the built-in image editor to edit the details.

If you are a skilled artist, you can use the tool as a base layer for your painting. You can create a color sketch, zoom in to see details, and paint the value you want. You can paint in the black area, then save the sketch to a new file.
