Cyber Protocol is a premium action game coming from developer RedDeed.Games. It is an arcade maze puzzler featuring a futuristic cyberpunk theme. In it, players take on the role of hackers who set out to rescue a friend by going through multiple layers of a robust security system.

Combining the gameplay premise of a game like Maze CrazE with the look and presentation of Cyberika: Action Cyberpunk RPG, and Cyber Protocol will be the result. It employs a sliding mechanic for its problem-solving gameplay and features pixel art and a vibrant color palette for a futuristic retro vibe.

Hack the system

Cyber Protocol takes place in the distant future wherein you play as a cyberpunk hacker. Your friend has been taken and it's up to you to rescue him by hacking your way through the security system that guards where he is held. The game is basically a sliding puzzler that has you take on 100 levels of increasing difficulty to reach your goal.

Each level in Cyber Protocol features a maze-like puzzle that you need to solve using end-to-end slides throughout. Each one employs various traps and obstacles for added challenge and forces you to think twice about your moves. You can play single-player mode to get the hang of things and compete against the AI and aim for top scores to compete in the global leaderboards.

Alternatively, you can opt for local multiplayer challenges that pit you against three other friends for top scores. The whole experience is complemented by five visual styles and three original music themes. However, the same lively spectacle can be to its detriment. The screen can get overwhelming at times given all the flashes, explosive color, and a flood of information being displayed all at once.

If you like fast-paced and punishing puzzle games, Cyber Protocol is a game that will put your skills to the test. It looks great, features simple controls, and offers plenty of engaging levels to take on. Local multiplayer is also a nice touch that many will appreciate. It does get overwhelming in some instances, but this is one title you should try out.
