Funded by the Office of Sex Offender Sentencing, Monitoring, Apprehending, Registering and Tracking, it provides access to the Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW). Users can perform searches based on location, utilizing various radius options or by offender name. The app initially identifies offenders based on the device's location, but users can also search from different locations using an interactive map.

In addition to geographical searches, the app accommodates jurisdictions that do not permit geographic coordinate searches by allowing zip code searches instead. Users can access detailed information about specific offenders through links to jurisdictional websites. While the primary function is to aid in the search for registered sex offenders, the app also directs users to additional resources for sexual abuse education and prevention.
