Ultimate Auction is a free WordPress plugin that works for plenty of different themes, similar to plugins like Auction Nudge and Dokan Simple Auctions. It’s used to create, run, and manage online auctions for products on your website. Its lightweight design, paired with its flexibility and customizability, makes it one of the most versatile auction plugins available on WordPress.

Even with just the free version, you can allow registered users to bid on customized auctions. You also have access to a control panel to manage everything about the live auction, as well as edit, end, or delete it. You can also re-activate auctions that have expired, notify winners and bidders on the auction’s updates, display countdowns for auctions, cancel bids, and plenty more.

Safe, quick, reliable auctions

Ultimate Auction was designed from the ground up with the goal in mind of creating a pleasant, safe auction experience for the auctioneer and the bidder alike. With this plugin, you can easily add built-in auctions to your site without hassle and create a secure, intuitive interface for users to bid with ease.

The Pro Version offers even more features, with the ability to collect credit card or debit card information immediately for automatic payments, the ability to allow for user-created auctions, add scheduled auctions, soft-close and use anti-sniping features, and use additional notifications such as text messaging, deleting user bids, and bulk importing.

Use and support

Ultimate Auction is very straightforward to get started with. All shortcodes, functions, and uses are listed on its page to help you get started. If you have any issues using it with your site, you can create a help thread where the support team will respond promptly with a solution.

To the highest bidder

Overall, Ultimate Auction is a well-polished, intelligently-made auction plugin. If you have a website built with WordPress, you should consider it. It’s about as simple to set up as you can expect. You can sit down and get it fully working within a few minutes.

Development is still active for this plugin, with recent additions such as the new responsive UI for auction pages, translation plugin support, and new currencies supported. It’s also open-source software, meaning users online can contribute to the development of this plugin to ensure its longevity.
