UIC SAFE is the official safety app of University of Illinois at Chicago, providing students, faculty, and staff with added safety on campus. Developed by the Office of Preparedness and Response, along with the Office of Public and Government Affairs and the UIC Police Department, this app integrates with UIC's safety and security systems.

The user-friendly interface of UIC SAFE offers a range of features to enhance personal safety. With the emergency call button, users can quickly contact UIC Police for help in case of an emergency. The Friend Walk feature allows users to send their location to a friend, who can then watch them walk home in real-time.

Stay informed with safety notifications, which provide instant alerts, emergency UIC ALERTs, and instructions during on-campus emergencies. Users can also communicate live with a UIC Police officer via chat. In case of any safety or security concerns, UIC SAFE offers multiple ways to report them directly to UIC Police.

Additionally, the app provides access to emergency contacts for the UIC area, as well as information on emergency preparedness measures. Users can learn what to do in case of an emergency and access important safety resources and student and employee services.
