UBoxPro, developed by 洪波 王, is a mobile app for compatible 4G car surveillance devices. It supports remote live viewing, parking surveillance, continuous driving recording, sensor-triggered incident recording, and storage through a TF card or the cloud.

Monitoring while parked and driving

When the vehicle is parked with the engine off, the surveillance device enters power-saving mode while remaining connected to a 4G network. Users can wake the device through UBoxPro and remotely view the area around their vehicle.

Built-in gravity and vibration sensors can activate recording when movement exceeds a set threshold. This may include an impact, unusual vibration, or someone approaching the car. The device can save the footage to a TF card, upload it to the cloud, and send a notification to the mobile app.

While the vehicle is moving, the connected device can continuously record road conditions, traffic signs, nearby vehicles, and pedestrians ahead. This footage may help document what happened during a traffic accident and provide evidence when determining liability.

How footage is stored

The device uses loop recording to manage files on the memory card. When the card becomes full, the oldest standard recordings are automatically overwritten, allowing recording to continue without requiring users to clear the storage manually.

Videos triggered by vibration are marked separately and protected from being overwritten. This preserves footage of detected incidents while routine driving recordings continue cycling through the available space.

Its live viewing, sensor-triggered recording, and protected footage can be useful after accidents or parking incidents, though performance still depends on the hardware, network, and setup.
