Tyrannosaurs were a diverse group of meat-eating dinosaurs that thrived in the Northern Hemisphere for over 100 million years in the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. They became one of the world’s top predators.

Tyrannosaurs came in a variety of sizes and shapes, including the large, heavy-duty, and the tiny, two-legged ones. The smallest of the tyrannosaurs, the two-legged ones, were not very powerful. But the largest of them, the heavy-duty tyrannosaurs, were the strongest. The largest of them had massive skulls, huge powerful jaws, and two heavy legs. They were capable of crushing bones with their powerful legs and bodies. They also had sharp teeth and strong claws.
