Turgor Pressure is a free adventure game where you dive into an abandoned facility below the surface of the ocean. Your role is to track down a dive team that has gone missing by piloting an ROV. Developed by Johnny, the game has a similar vibe to the PS1 game, Haunted.

Your ROV has a built-in scanning system that will help you find out what could have happened to the team. However, the ocean is filled with challenges and unknown creatures, so you need to be careful. The game warns about body horror and submechanophobia, so be careful before playing.

A simple thriller

Turgor Pressure provides an effective atmosphere that sets an expected slow movement underwater that adds a layer of suspense and unease— unless you’re already afraid of being underwater or submerged objects. On top of that, the game gives you a first-person view that provides a little extra bump in tension, paired with an eerily quiet environment that will constantly keep you on the edge. 

The game controls are also simple. You just have to use the Q, W, E, A, S, and D keys to move the drone around, and the arrow keys to look around or move your camera. One downside of the game is that while your journey can feel like you’re going at it for a long time, the story is still pretty short. 

On top of that, the game’s ending is also quite abrupt, so it kind of feels rushed and the game could’ve been stretched a little longer. Still, it makes up for an incredible aesthetic that will give you a nostalgic feeling if you were a fan of the old PS1 graphics. However, the giant fetus-looking bioweapon does look a little weird for a final boss or monster.

In conclusion, Turgor Pressure is a great game if you’re looking for something quick and simple, but will give you enough that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It has all the essential elements that a thriller game needs, from the eerily silent environment to the limited vision of the first-person perspective and the strange-looking things everywhere. Unfortunately, the game is short.
