Unlike an electronic library, Turathi does not store books. Instead, it functions as a search engine with digital indexes that allow users to access external electronic libraries. It is similar to general search engines like Google.

The website indexes thousands of books from the Arab Islamic civilization, written between the birth of Islam and the middle of the 9th century of the Hijri calendar. These books cover various categories such as Quranic interpretation, Hadith, history, biographies, philosophy, and natural sciences. The website is constantly updated to include more books from this period, as long as they are available in digital format.

Please note that contemporary books for Hadith graduation are excluded from the database to facilitate the evaluation of Hadith authenticity during research.
