Something familiar

With a snarky robotic assistant and object manipulation controls, Tumble has more than a hint of Portal in its initial stages. The actual strategy involved is more linear, however, with most puzzles revolving around a single type of block or item. Each level presents an obstacle or task, such as building the highest tower or using mines to destroy existing constructions. Players can use either a standard PlayStation controller or VR wands, with the VR wands offering a much improved experience. Manipulating items feels tight and errors are few. Overall, Tumble is a well developed puzzle experience with a challenging difficulty curve and a welcome co-op mode. It suffers from a slight lack of variety and general shortness but scratches the puzzle itch nicely.

Tumble is a short and sweet puzzle game with an under-developed plot and too much repetition. The low price make it a decent pick up for fans of the genre due mainly to accurate VR controls.
