In this first part of the True Fear: Forsaken Souls game, you play as Holly Stonehouse, a detective whose mother has recently passed away and whose sister is missing. With a strong intuition that something is wrong, you decide to visit your sister's house to investigate. There, you meet a strange and suspicious man named Calvin Whitt, who claims to be your sister's boyfriend. When you catch him lying, you realize that he is actually the murderer.

With the help of your friends, you unravel the mystery of your mother's murder, and try to find the truth. But you also have to escape from a dangerous man who wants to kill you.
