In addition, the interactions between characters feel more dynamic, thanks to voice acting and updated dialogue, though the occasional cheesy line might take you back to 90s RPGs. The combat system is a highlight, evolving from the original’s simple mechanics into an engaging, real-time action format. Players control one character at a time, switching between party members as needed, to execute combos, special moves, and powerful class strikes. Each character has unique abilities and skill trees, offering a blend of customization and strategy. 

The 3D remake features colorful, vibrant environments that capture the charm of the original while adding modern graphical polish. Character models are detailed and expressive, though the animations can occasionally feel stiff. The soundtrack, reimagined with orchestral arrangements, stays true to the original, delivering a mix of nostalgic and fresh tracks. For purists, the option to switch back to the original 16-bit music is a welcome touch.
