TrailMapps: Rotorua is an Android application designed for mountain bikers, runners, and walkers who want to explore Rotorua, New Zealand's best trail map. This full version app uses the phone's GPS to show users where they are on the map. It also provides local guide and grade information on all the trails, so users can tap on a trail and go straight to it on the map.

The app features astar rating system, showing users which trails are rated highest and which ones to leave for later. Users can make the most of their visit by riding one of the suggested routes or replicate or practice the courses of selected competitive events. The app also gets frequent updates, so users can find the freshest new trails without waiting for a new paper map to come out. In case of an emergency, users can hit the app's location button and instantly see the GPS coordinates of their location, which can be read out to the ambulance dispatcher for faster response time.
