Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the storyline, while gets off to a good start and then kind of fades away after a while. In addition to guns and knives, players also have plenty of other weapons at their disposal, including spray paint cans, which can be used in imaginative ways.

Despite the rather clumsy controls and patchy narration, Tokyo 42 gives gamers a unique way to explore the city of Tokyo. There are plenty of interactive elements and different missions to complete and while the overall style of the game is a bit on the cute side, it is also strangely engaging and the game play itself is very addictive.
