TIME Criteria is a mobile application developed by Engin Hosgor to facilitate the use of the Turkish Inappropriate Medication Use Criteria (TIME Criteria) in clinics. This app is exclusively designed for healthcare professionals.

The TIME Criteria is a guide developed by the Rational Drug Use Working Group of the Turkish Society of Geriatrics to prevent inappropriate medication use. It is a practical and up-to-date guide that can be easily used in clinical practice. The guide was created by a wide range of experts, including geriatricians, psychiatrists, neurologists, cardiologists, gastroenterologists, and pharmacologists, among others.

The app includes criteria for the cardiovascular system, central nervous system, gastrointestinal system, respiratory system, musculoskeletal system, urogenital system, endocrine system, analgesics, antiplatelet/anticoagulant drugs, supplements, and vaccines. It consists of two main sections: 1) TIME-to-STOP Criteria, which provides criteria for drugs that are generally or sometimes inappropriate for use in the elderly but are frequently misused in clinical practice, and 2) TIME-to-START Criteria, which provides criteria for drugs that are generally or sometimes particularly beneficial for the elderly but are often underused in clinical practice. Overall, it contains 112 TIME-to-STOP criteria and 41 TIME-to-START criteria, totaling 153 criteria.

The TIME Criteria mobile app is a valuable tool for healthcare professionals, providing them with easy access to the latest guidelines for appropriate medication use in the elderly. It aims to improve prescribing practices and ultimately enhance patient safety.
