The Stalked 2 is a horror adventure game and the standalone follow-up to the original game, The Stalked. Created by the indie developer Korvinrular for PC, players step into the shoes of a woman named Rachel, an avid hiker relentlessly followed by an obsessed stalker.  

Exploring psychological horror, thriller, and mystery, The Stalked 2 delivers a nerve-wracking playthrough that keeps users on edge. This dark journey is playable from the first-person perspective and features an immersive, emotional, and linear storyline. It is also rendered in 3D graphics and utilizes walking sim mechanics. 

A relentless pursuit 

Set deep in the woods, The Stalked 2 follows the story of Rachel, a devoted hiker fan of adventurous journeys. She is enticed to go on one of her trips after seeing a cozy cabin advertisement. What she does not know is an obsessive man has his eyes on her, following her every move and waiting for a vulnerable opening to strike. 

In this journey, you are on the run from an infatuated man. Interact with strange NPCs through one-on-one conversations and witness unsettling events despite their oddity to gain more information and be aware of your surroundings. This way, you can continuously run away from the stalker’s relentless pursuit as you navigate the steepness of the hiking trail to the cabin. 

With its fear-inducing atmosphere and thematic SFX and BGM, this psychological thriller guarantees an immersive experience. However, it has a quick playthrough, ranging from 40 to 50 minutes. The story is also predictable, lessening its impact and may reduce the overall engagement. Furthermore, due to the nature of the game and other elements, like flashing lights, this is not suitable for players with photosensitivity and mental health issues.

The Stalked 2 offers a chilling, immersive experience for fans of psychological horror and mystery. The intense atmosphere and gripping storyline keep players on edge throughout. While the predictable plot may lessen some of the impact, the game’s engaging gameplay, haunting SFX, and tense pacing create a memorable experience.
