The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak is a role-playing game in the post-war Republic of Calvard with a surge in immigrants and political reforms. In this adventure game, you take the role of Van Arkride — a young man who takes on a unique request for the nation. 

The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak follows the story of a spriggan, a back-end job that does everything from being a detective to a bounty hunter. This game is part of the Trails series of the Legend of Heroes franchise and the first in the Trails Through Daybreak arc.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak is an action game packed with unique features. This includes the topic system, a scheme for gaining an advantage in battles by interacting with other characters in the expanse. Another feature is the alignment system, a process for modifying status, forces, and plots. The action time battle command has also been improved for smooth combat. 

Trails through Daybreak has several downloadable contents (DLCs) available, including The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak - Accessories Set.  It provides an extensive number of items for your character that are helpful or decorative. Purchasable DLCs include starter consumable set, advanced consumable set, voice set, costume set, artbook, soundtrack, mini art book, and bonus set. You can also get the free sample set. 

This game is as enjoyable as the previous games that belong in the Trail series but with new arcs, characters, and gameplay. It gives its players a sense of familiarity but with new mechanics and systems put in place. However, there is a major setback that you can encounter in the game. For starters, crashes in the game are frequent, making the experience rough.

One major drawback, however, is the frequent crashes that occur in the game.
