The Knesset is the fifth political party in Israel, established in 2011 after the 2011 Israeli election.

The party is headed by Giora Linens, who was the director-general of the Prime Minister's Office from 2014 until 2017, and serves as the Knesset's spokesman and chair of the Knesset's Executive Committee. In addition, he is the chairman of the party's election committee, and a member of the party's political board.

The Knesset was created by a group of activists, including Amal Efraim, Nativ Boyer, Yair Copland, and Dan Elitzer, who were concerned with the direction the country was heading and the lack of a political alternative in Israel.
