Tetris® Forever is a game born from the grand celebration of the classic game Tetris®. Developed by Digital Eclipse, this game includes 15 classic Tetris games, and an all-new game mode introduced—Tetris Time Warp. The game includes different takes on the classic Tetris games, compiling them all into a Tetris galore of gameplay. 

Tetris® Forever retains the tried-and-true method of Tetris games’ mechanics, line up shapes such that every block fills the rows, continue doing so until the blocks are not cleared and are stacked up and have reached a limited height.

Tetris® Forever introduces the classic Tetris games with this modern refresh, delivering 15 playable classics from the esteemed and classic titles. The game remains simple and quick with its gameplay with strong foundations to its code and points system. It also introduces a new game mode which is Tetris Time Warp, a game mode that fuses all the 15 playable titles, applying all their unique mechanics into one. 

In addition, the game also features more than an hour of all-new documentary featuring the long history, lifelong friendship, and exploration of partnership between creators and creatives of the Tetris company. This is a newfound story that shares the relationship between the game and the people who love playing Tetris, celebrating the long history of the game and its 40 years of success, cementing it as an uncontested classic. 

It features the 15 unique game-modes created over the years. Its aesthetics remain unchanged as well as the gameplay. While the gameplay and celebration are overall appreciated, for a celebration, it came as a disappointment for long-time fans as there are more than 15+ games. More than that, the game is more of an interactive documentary within a game, making it more like a novelty than a new Tetris title.

While the nostalgia and Tetris Time Warp mode are appealing, the limited game modes and documentary emphasis may leave hardcore fans wanting more. Nonetheless, it stands as a heartfelt tribute to the beloved game’s enduring impact over the past four decades.
