The best part however is the inclusion of Torgal, Clive’s best friend and animal companion. Use your Dominant of Fire to emerge victorious. 

A faithful interpretation of Clive with a few caveats 

TEKKEN 8 - Clive Rosfield (FINAL FANTASY XVI) delivers a unique experience with Clive’s unique FINAL FANTASY move set transported into TEKKEN, bombarding enemies with swift swordplay along with strong magic that chains into a devastating combos for players to explore, practice, and learn from. However, Clive’s overall movement accompanied by his damage potential can be too overpowering in comparison to other characters. 

With Clive’s appearance also comes his stage known as PHOENIX GATE, this level is also derived from FFXVI with the same name, making this iconic level part of TEKKEN’s arena. The level consists of the iconic battle between Ifrit and Phoenix, showing both Eikons duking it out in the background while players battle it out below. It also features 2 locations, a walled stage and an infinite stage. 

Clive’s appearance and his level retains FFXVI's beautiful graphics, perfectly fitting it into the TEKKEN universe. Clive’s over the top animations and magic perfectly captures his powers in the FF game while being in TEKKEN. However, the overuse of magic and distracting animations can be too much for players, especially for players looking for fair competition. Moreover, this content is quite expensive for a singular character and level. 

A fiery addition with some balance issues 

TEKKEN 8 - Clive Rosfield (FINAL FANTASY XVI) successfully integrates Clive’s iconic swordplay, Eikonic magic, and Phoenix Gate stage into the TEKKEN universe, offering visually stunning and engaging gameplay. While Clive's move set is exhilarating and true to his origin, the character’s overwhelming power and flashy animations can disrupt balance and competitive play. Despite its appeal, the DLC’s price may feel steep for some players.
