To get the highest score, you need to take all 4 tricks in the first hand, and the rest of the cards in your hand. You can take all 4 tricks in the first hand, but you can only take 1 trick in each hand. The game starts with the first player, who leads with a card. In the first turn, you need to follow the suit if you can, and if you can't, you can play any card. The other player, who didn't follow the suit, leads to the next turn. The same rule applies to all 4 players.
