TANKED: The Game is a free action game where you manage an aquarium to grow and increase your fish. Developed by Discovery Communications, the app is the video game adaptation of the hit Animal Planet show of the same name, where business partners and best friends Wayde King and Brett Raymer build unique aquariums.

Similar to other casual aquarium games like Fish Adventure Aquarium, TANKED: The Game is a relaxing experience that gives you the joy of feeding and watching colorful fishes swim around and play around with each other.

Be an exotic aquarium builder

Once you start TANKED: The Game, you are treated to a tutorial from Wayde and Brett themselves, teaching you the basics of the game and fishkeeping. Once you buy your first fish, you can start checking their stats such as hunger, happiness, and overall health. After you collect enough resources, you can visit the shop again to buy another fish or buy items to improve your fish’s happiness or health.

Also, aside from raising your fish, you can also gather materials like bubbles and clams through different mini games like the Bubble Game and the Race Game. In the Bubble Game, you drag your fish underwater trying to collect bubbles and avoid waste materials like cans and papers. Meanwhile, the Race Game lets you collect clams for as long as you avoid obstacles like corals and the rudder of boats.

While there are a lot of activities to do and aquariums to unlock, there’s a limited variety of fish in the game. You can unlock them early on in the game if you grind the bubbles and clams needed. Also, while the fish designs are mostly based on actual fishes, it limits the collectibility you’ll find in the game and makes it tiring after a while.

While the fishes are animated in design, they are based on reality and TANKED: The Game takes after the show in that it tries to educate players on how to keep fishes happy and healthy. Aside from watching them grow and be happy, you can actively collect in-game currency so you can grow your collection faster. With these features, this game is a good start for fish fans.
