Compatible lenses must feature a Connector Port (USB Type-C) for connectivity. Firmware updates necessitate the PC version of TAMRON Lens Utility and a computer, excluding the possibility of updating via a smartphone.

The app offers lens customization options such as A-B Focus, Focus Preset, Select AF/MF, Ring Function, Assign Function from the Camera, Focus Stopper, and Astro FC-L. Additionally, users can customize the Focus Ring's rotation direction and manual focus shifting behavior. Tethered remote control functionality is available for smartphones, enabling features like A-B Focus and Focus Preset.
