Talking Tuner is a unique hands-off, sound-activated, talking chromatic tuner designed for musicians. Developed by Ronald Nicholson, this app provides a convenient way to tune your instrument without needing to visually check the display. Utilizing speech synthesis technology, Talking Tuner audibly informs you if your instrument is in tune, with or without VoiceOver enabled.

With the Auto-Speak feature activated, Talking Tuner listens for the note played, then verbally announces the note name and the estimated sharpness or flatness in cents. For optimal usage, it is recommended to use headphones to clearly hear the app's feedback during tuning sessions. The pitch estimation algorithm is most accurate for notes within 2 octaves below and above Middle-C, but may be less effective for very high or low notes, background noise, or accompaniment.
