Developed by Nico Papalia, greets you like a fever dream stitched together from cereal-box humor, charming pixel art, and deliberate absurdity; you play as Lambypoo, a soft-voiced lamb on a mission to reunite cousins and rebuild a shattered Tuscany while deciding whether to befriend enemies or batter them into submission. 

In Tales of Tuscany, Lampyboo is on a quest to rescue her cousins and their village after the evil wizard Thunder Goober wreaks havoc for his own amusement, tearing down every obstacle with mischievous carnage while having an unexpected soft heart for her relatives and her entire community.

Lampyboo’s whimsy and wreckage 

Tales of Tuscany blends loose, old-school RPG trappings with modern conveniences: exploration is encouraged by a sandbox that rewards improvisation, combat supports both pacifist and violent approaches, and each complete run hands you a collectible “Rhapsody” postcard that records your playthrough and can be traded with friends, a small but clever meta layer that turns repeated runs into social trophies. However, the overall aesthetic can be overwhelming at times. 

This game is a choose-your-own adventure; you’ll have to shake up the land of Tuscany and either recruit enemies or defeat them in hopes of saving your loved ones. It boasts multiple fun and quirky side quests with hilarity ensuing in every corner. Additionally, you have a “Baaa” button to destroy things around you, like cars, buildings, and enemies, just for the fun of it. Be careful, as your button is too loud when spammed.

Defeating or befriending enemies is done in a fun and unusual way, utilizing the myriad of mini games this quirky game has to offer to show your Lampyboo’s and Tuscany’s personality through its characters. Run derbies, carve pumpkins, or serve at the public pool; every event is unique, crazy, and all fun—or just bash your enemies and get it over with, the choice is yours. 

This cute game has an infectiously weird personality, a gameplay loop that rewards experimentation, and little quality-of-life touches like the Rhapsody postcards that make runs feel memorable and shareable. Visually, it features charming pixel art that complements its quirky tone. The soundtrack enhances the atmosphere with original tracks. Its weaknesses are mainly those of scope and taste players who dislike extremely noisy, joke-heavy design or who expect a tight, conventional JRPG gameplay.
