With this mod, the troop tree of the empire is changed into units inspired by the Roman army in c. 1000 AD using stock resources. The long-term objective of this mod is to swap out the vanilla assets for more historically accurate ones to create a more realistic experience of the middle Byzantine era.

By substituting Roman soldiers from the empire's middle centuries for the default troops, the Taxeis mod intends to move the Bannerlord empire's military to the late 10th and early 11th centuries. Simply said, this mod replaces and renames the basic Imperial troop tree and equips the units with vanilla equipment that is the most historically accurate.

Any mod that doesn't change the Imperial troop tree or militias should work with this one. Although this mod expands the spitems.xml file with new items, it shouldn't conflict with any other mod that also uses that file.
