Syphon is a privacy-focused end-to-end encrypted matrix client designed to provide a comfortable and easy-to-use experience. This Android application prioritizes user privacy by offering end-to-end encryption for all available chats. It ensures that your conversations remain secure and protected from prying eyes.

One of the standout features of Syphon is its commitment to user privacy. The app does not collect any analytics, tracking, or telemetry data. It also does not rely on any third-party APIs such as Firebase or Facebook SDK, further enhancing the privacy aspect of the application.

Moreover, Syphon gives users complete control over their presence. You can choose to opt-in only for signs of presence like typing bubbles and read receipts, ensuring that your activity remains private and discreet.

While Syphon offers robust end-to-end encryption for direct chats and group chats, it is important to note that the app has not undergone a third-party security audit. Therefore, it is not recommended for situations where proven and independently verified security is required.

Syphon acknowledges that there is always room for improvement in terms of user experience, performance, and feature parity with other applications in the Matrix ecosystem. The development team is constantly working towards enhancing these aspects.
