Survive against the horde

While the story behind Survivors Of The Zombie World is admittedly cliched with the number of zombie-themed games, it does have its own spin on the genre. When you start, you are treated to a beginner-friendly tutorial, which you can skip for convenience. Then, you can choose from one of its game modes: Story, Survival, Defense, or Online. The game modes alone allow a lot of things for you to do.

It features high-resolution block-based visuals, similar to ROBLOX. Unlocking the characters requires different tasks, such as reaching a certain level in the Story Mode or defeating a certain enemy a number of times. The same goes for the guns and weapons in the game. Obstacles, the light and dark cycle, and different enemy types will prove challenging as you progress.

Unlike other games in the survivor-like genre, however, shooting here is done manually. This makes the game a bit more immersive, but could also get tiring especially during the Survival mode. Also, the early game can feel a bit slow since a lot of content is locked, forcing you to play the Story mode up to a certain portion. Aside from this, certain controls do not respond well at times.

A fun survival-like game

Unlike most survival games that focus more on reflex and less on planning, Survivors Of The Zombie World takes a different direction. You choose your survivor, push the Story Mode, and start unlocking more content. This makes the game exponentially more enjoyable, especially when the variety of weapons and survivors are put to the test against the increasing number and complexity of the enemies.
