Yasin (Arabic يس - Ya Sin) is one of the last chapters of the Qur'an, the central religious text of Islam. The chapter is called "Ya Sin" because the word "Ya" in Arabic means "to sin", while "Sin" in English means "the loss of soul or life".

The word "Ya" in this chapter indicates that the prophet was referring to himself as someone who had sinned, and was called by God to tell others that they too had sinned and would be punished. In the following verses, God tells the prophet to summon the Jews and Christians and show them the error of their ways. These different religions were holding beliefs that were in opposition to one another, and God was calling them to come together and worship only Him.

It is important to understand that the Quran is a special book that is unique in the sense that it is the word of God.
