Super Hydorah is a nonlinear horizontal shoot 'em up game developed by Abylight for Xbox One. The game is set in a distant star system where an evil force has launched an invasion over the Omios star. As the most skilled and deadly pilot in the galaxy, you must face the dreadful menace of the Meroptians, bio-mechanical creatures set in a ruthless war of conquest.

The game features 21 levels divided into 35 sublevels, 35 bosses, and more than 100 enemies. It offers a challenging and memorable experience, sublimating the wisdom and richness of traditional shmup classics. The level layout is non-linear with route selection, and each level has dangers of different nature, not just bullets. The game offers single player, co-op multiplayer, and Robot Chase spin-off mode.
