수온정보서비스 (Real-time Ocean Temperature Information Service) is a mobile application that provides essential information for fishing activities in areas prone to frequent fishing disasters caused by dense coastal fish farms and abnormal marine conditions. The app has established a real-time measurement system to deliver the necessary information to fishery activities. The measurement status includes 7 ocean observation buoys (Gangneung, Yangyang, Samcheok, Yeongdeok, Gijang, Naro Island, and Gondori Island), 17 closed-culture fish farms in the East, West, and South Seas (such as Yeosu, Namhae, and Wando), and 6 other locations (Baengnyeong Island, Seojeju, etc.). In total, there are 30 operating locations. The app provides real-time marine environmental information, focusing on ocean temperature, every 30 minutes. The data sources for ocean temperature information are the National Fisheries Research and Development Institute, weather information is from the Korea Meteorological Administration, and tidal information is from the National Institute of Fisheries Science.
