Sunset Overdrive is an action-packed game developed by Insomniac Games for Xbox One. The game is set in the year 2027 in Sun City, where a drink manufactured by Fizzco has turned the city's population into savage monsters. Players control the protagonist, a former Fizzco employee, who has the freedom to move around the city in any direction, run on walls and wires, and jump like a kangaroo.

The game features an array of eccentric characters who are fighting the monsters, which come in various shapes and sizes, including creatures fused with water cannons or a bucket from an excavator. The hero's weapon is equally diverse, with vinyl records, bowling balls, and teddy bears with TNT in their paws, among others.
