Summoners War is a free-to-play action game. It is a role-playing game that immerses players in the Sky Arena, a fantastical world where a fierce battle rages over the vital resource known as Mana Crystals. In this game, players design their own decks and strategies using an expansive collection of over 1,500 monsters, each boasting unique skills and attributes.

Summoners War offers a multitude of activities, ranging from decorating a village to battling other summoners, exploring dungeons, participating in PvP battles, and expanding one's collection of monsters. You are also engaged in training and evolving your monsters, adding depth to the gameplay. One of the standout features is its emphasis on collection, with a wide array of monsters available across five different attributes: Fire, Water, Wind, Light, and Dark. 

Additionally, it includes a real-time raid system that allows you to team up and battle alongside your greatest monsters against bosses, emphasizing cooperative play and strategy. The game also introduces the concept of Homunculus, a special monster that you can summon and evolve, adding another strategic layer to the gameplay. World Arena offers a real-time battle experience against summoners worldwide, where you can demonstrate your unique strategies. 

Guild content further enhances the game's communal aspect, with players exploring dungeons and engaging in PvP battles alongside guild members. The Dimension Hole introduces new challenges with ancient powers and awakening powers for monsters, while Artifacts, dropped at maximum powerup levels, provide additional ways to enhance monsters. However, the sheer number of monsters, runes, and strategies can be overwhelming for new players, making the game potentially difficult to get into.

The Version 8.7.5 update

The v8.7.5 update for the game is finally here, and it brings handy improvements to Monster Storage and Sealed Shrine, making it easier for you to move monsters between locations. A new temporary engraving feature lets you use Sealed Shrine monsters in Siege Battle and Arena by borrowing Runes and Artifacts, which is great for flexibility in your builds.

You'll also find a new save slot for bulk Rune/Artifact saving in World Arena, giving you more options for managing your monster setups. The maximum slot limits for Runes, Gems, and Artifacts have increased. Plus, the Mentor/Mentee system is improved, and various bugs are fixed, making your overall game experience smoother and free from bugs, crashes, and unwanted glitches.
