スケールスピード計測 (Scale Speed Measurement) is a stopwatch designed to measure the scale speed of model trains. By setting the measurement distance and scale, the app calculates and displays the scale speed based on the recorded time. The measurement distance can be easily inputted by specifying the type of rail and the number of rails used in your layout. Additionally, for oval layouts, the app can automatically measure the time it takes for one complete lap using the microphone input.

For manual measurements, simply input the measurement distance and use the start and stop buttons to record the time.

For automatic measurements, follow these steps:

1) Place your smartphone near the rail with the microphone close to it.

2) Touch the "Start Automatic Measurement" button when the train is stationary.

3) Start the train after 3 seconds.

The app will measure the time between the peaks of the sound levels recorded by the microphone, which represents one complete lap. To ensure accurate measurements, position your device in a way that the sound level exceeds the baseline level (horizontal line) when the train approaches.

Please note that in environments with loud ambient noise or when the train's running sound is low, automatic measurements may not be possible. In such cases, please use the manual measurement option. Both manual and automatic measurements have a maximum time limit of 30 minutes.
