Board game inspired by classic gamebooks

Suddenly An Orge is a premium board game coming from developer Infinite Zone. It's a text-based adventure that takes inspiration from classic gamebooks featuring complex narratives, deep lore, and intertwining paths for players to take and experience. In it, players will take on the role of a would-be hero out to save his sister.

Ogres and lost siblings

Suddenly An Ogre starts off much like opening the pages of a gamebook, with you an unnamed protagonist who goes on a perilous journey to save your sister. Events unfold through text and images, and your choice matters and will help shape them. Play at your own pace and carefully consider your decisions.

What's more, there are multiple important events throughout your gameplay that you can unlock called Story Moments. Try out different choices to experiment with different outcomes with every playthrough. Having said all that, the gameplay is short. Even unlocking all events, you're looking at a few hours to completion.

Interesting but short

All in all, if you're a fan of classic gamebooks and the type of experience they provide, Suddenly an Ogre is essentially a virtual version and one you should check out. From its art style and presentation to the various unlockable events, there's a lot to like about it. Give it a try and see for yourself.
