Strange Toilet is a free indie game about a murderer on the loose. It is a small exploration game, taking place entirely within the protagonist’s apartment, and contains violent and horrific themes. In the game, the player faces off against an unseen menace in the shape of a “toilet killer.”

The game is part of a very popular genre of small independent horror games that includes titles like Eyes - The Horror Game and, more notably, Five Nights at Freddy’s. Depending on the player’s actions, there are two possible endings.

From the very start of the game, the developer tries to set the player on edge with dark rooms and tense sound effects. The gameplay is of a first-person exploration style, with the player given the ability to move around the protagonist’s apartment and interact with limited objects. As the game unfolds, the killer’s presence becomes more obvious.

High-quality graphics and full voice acting

Despite working alone, the developer still gave Strange Toilet high-quality graphics and fully voice-acted dialogue for the small cast of involved characters. Much of the dialogue is slightly awkward due to an apparent language barrier, but not so much that it affects the gameplay.

A tense—if short—experience

This game will likely hold plenty of appeal for fans of the indie horror game genre. It is a little on the short side, but this is not out of the ordinary. However, the developer has stated that they are still working on the game, which means players can expect more content in the future.
