Stormworks Build and Rescue is a free-to-playsimulation from the Kaserria Game team. This base-building experience allows you to design, build, and manage your air-sea rescue service. You will be in charge of everything from the design of your on-shore base to every vehicle that will comprise your fleet.

As a sandbox game with realistic in-game physics, Stormworks Build and Rescue offers a lot of gameplay possibilities that are both fun and challenging. However, it has a couple of optimization issues for mobile. Similar games include Clash of Clans or Rust Builder.

An unofficial mobile port

It is worth noting that this Stormworks Build and Rescue app is an unofficial mobile port of the PC game of the same name. However, this Kaserria remake faithfully recreates the Geometa, despite missing out on the original game's downloadable content. Aside from the content restrictions, the mobile version tries its best to deliver a fun experience for mobile devices.

As mentioned, there are many things to do in this game. You will be in charge of your air-sea service, building the fleet, and the facility involved. More importantly, you can embark on rescue missions at sea and in the air. Whether it’s assisting a vehicle in distress or rescuing stranded passengers, you will maneuver vehicles and deliver the needed assistance.

Still, there are a couple of restrictions aside from the unavailability of DLCs mentioned above. For one, this mobile application tends to freeze and outright crash, citing server issues. This is intermittent and unpredictable, negatively affecting the gameplay experience since you can’t tell when it will interrupt your game. Similarly, there are instances where in-game elements do not load properly.

Fun, but ultimately unreliable

The success of the original Stormworks Build and Rescue has inevitably inspired remakes and unofficial ports for other devices. While this one is among the most faithful adaptations of the Geometa title, it is also the most unreliable because of its unpredictable tendencies to freeze or crash, interrupting your game when you least expect it. If you can support the original developers on PC, it’s better to play there instead.
