Stewie the Duck Learns to Swim is an educational and interactive app designed to teach young children, aged two to six, about water safety. Developed by Stew Leonards, this app follows the story of Stewie, a duck who wants to swim with the 'big ducks' but must first learn the water safety rules.

The app features a read-to-me option, allowing parents and children to enjoy the story together while pausing at the end of each page to review the lessons. Additionally, children can choose to read the story themselves, interact with objects, find hidden duckies, and play a sing-along.

One of the highlights of the app is the memory game, which helps children internalize the water safety rules through repetition. The app also includes a catchy water safety song that children can sing along to.

Parents will appreciate the tips and lessons shared by Stew and Kim, who tragically lost their own child in a drowning accident. These tips, along with water safety information, are provided in a video message. A letter from Lawrence E. Shapiro, PhD, offers further guidance on making water safety a habit.

Stewie the Duck Learns to Swim is a valuable tool for parents and educators to teach young children the importance of water safety in a fun and engaging way.
