As the name suggests, it provides the fantasy RPG's main protagonist, Geralt, the ability to sneak and perform stealth combat against humanoid non-playable characters (NPCs).

More than stealth combat, The Stealth Overhaul mod also made changes to the vanilla weapons and abilities. Players will also see some modifications in the NPCs' behaviors. Although, users must note that the app has known incompatibilities, including Devil's Pit mod, the Lazarus, and indignant NPCs. 

What is the Stealth Overhaul mod?

The Stealth Overhaul mod is an overhaul mod that allows Geralt to perform sneak attacks on unaware humanoid NPCs and select monsters. Among these stealth combats include backstabs, garottes, and stealth rolls. As mentioned, it also brings changes to the weapons and abilities of the vanilla game. This includes instant kill for headshots and triple damage to body shots. However, this only works while in stealth mode.

The app also modified the NPC's behavior by giving them heightened vision and hearing, making it hard to perform sneak attacks. They will also investigate anything amiss immediately, giving you a small window of opportunity to escape. However, unlike with weapons and abilities, these alterations will happen while you aren't currently sneaking. Don't worry, though. If you are busted while sneaking, you can escape combat by breaking LOS.

Players will be happy to know that the mod is merge-friendly and Ghost mode compatible. You can even integrate it with Magic Spells. However, when installing, don’t use mod managers. Instead, drag and drop files from the mod's archive into the TW3 root directory and run Script Merger. Be warned, though: The game sometimes crashes when performing stealth combat.
