StashPop: Enhancing GitHub with Email and Test Failure Management Features

StashPop is a Chrome add-on developed by David Poeschl that enhances the functionality of GitHub by adding email and test failure management features. With StashPop, users can enjoy a more streamlined experience on GitHub, with added support for Jenkins testing.

One of the key features of StashPop is the addition of email buttons for Issues and Pull Requests. These buttons are available on individual issue/PR pages as well as issue/PR lists. Users can easily create emails in their default mail application, making it convenient to communicate and collaborate on GitHub.

StashPop also introduces code review enhancements. It aggregates code review approvals, rejections, and test signoffs, providing a comprehensive overview of the review process. The add-on adds code review response buttons to the new comment area and adjusts the header background color of existing and in-progress code review comments. Additionally, users can configure code review phrases on an organizational and repository level.

For users working with Jenkins, StashPop offers PR support. It displays Jenkins build and test failure descriptions directly in the PR view, allowing for quick identification of issues. The add-on also inlines Jenkins build and test failures into the PR list view, providing a holistic view of the test results. StashPop shows the time elapsed since a Jenkins build ran and opens Jenkins "details" links in a new tab for easy access. Users can create issue tickets for each Jenkins test failure and utilize the retest button to rerun tests. The add-on allows for customization of labels and retest text on an organizational and repository level.
