Importantly, StarScout does not claim that stars are fake or reveal identities of suspected actors. It is designed solely for public repositories and does not support private repositories or GitHub Enterprise Server. The extension is privacy-conscious, transmitting only the public repository identifier to the StarScout API, ensuring that no sensitive user data is collected.
