Spider Solitaire is a card game with many variations. The most popular version is played with a standard 52-card deck. The game starts with the dealer's left hand at the bottom of the table, and the right hand is played one by one in a clockwise direction. The object of the game is to build up the four foundations (cards of the same suit) by suit in descending numerical order, from Ace (the highest value) to King (the lowest value).

When playing with one or two suits, the player is allowed to choose from one, two, or four suits. In four-suit games, the player must win all four suits in order to win the game. Winning all four suits in one game is known as a "complete" or "full" win.

As soon as the player has played a card, the dealer draws a new card and the game continues. The player must follow suit if they can, otherwise they can skip the card. The dealer is not allowed to skip a card if the player has not followed suit. If the player cannot follow suit, they can skip a card, and the dealer can then play a new card.

The game ends when all 52 cards have been dealt. The player with the highest value wins, and the player can also win by being the first to reach 100 points.
