Space Jitters is a free arcade game for mobile devices by developer Laert Jansen. It is a retro vertical space shooter adventure featuring minimalist pixel graphics and a focus on fast, reactive gameplay. In it, players will pilot a spaceship as they take on waves of enemy fighters and tough bosses in an attempt to set a high score.

Space Jitters is a twitch shooter set in space, focused on tight arcade gameplay. You'll take on waves of enemies and boss battles, with each one you destroy adding to your high score, along with the gems you collect. You get three lives to challenge yourself in how long you can last and how far you can reach in every run. 

You also get to collect power-ups, which provide different types of weapons with different effects, like one with a wide fire spread, dual repeaters, or even an omnidirectional shooting pattern. Now, as is usually the case with these types of score attack games, there’s not a lot of room for variety, so some players might end up finding it a bit too repetitive after some time. 

Simple arcade goodness 

Put simply, if you’re looking for something new to play that's simple yet fun, Space Jitters is a solid option worth considering, more so if you’re into space themes and retro arcade-y stuff. It’s pretty easy to get into, but it serves up a nice challenge if you’re a veteran of this type of game.
