South African Airways (SAA) is the national airline of South Africa. Founded in 1940, it is the oldest continuously operating airline in Africa and the fifth oldest in the world. The airline flies to more than 90 destinations within Africa and the Middle East, and to more than 30 destinations worldwide. SAA has a hub and hublet network of over 20 airports, including the world's busiest airport, Johannesburg Airport, and the most successful airport in Africa, Cape Town Airport. SAA is one of the most successful airlines in the world in terms of international passenger traffic, and the fifth most successful in terms of international flight operations. SAA operates a fleet of over 100 aircraft, including 76 aircraft with a capacity of over 200 seats, 33 aircraft with a capacity of over 100 seats, and 11 aircraft with a capacity of over 50 seats. The airline is a member of the Oneworld airline alliance and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
