Soundpad is an audio utility software that lets you play audio clips directly through a microphone during voice calls, like a digital soundboard. Whether you’re using Discord or playing a game like Counter-Strike, you can share funny clips or music with everyone in the chat without any complicated hardware or cables.

Developed by Leppsoft, Soundpad is popular for adding a layer of fun to online interactions. It is more than just a player, as it helps you record and edit sounds. While a free demo is available, the full version is affordable and widely used by modern gamers and content creators.

Spice up your gameplay voice call session

Soundpad features a clean, simple interface that resembles a basic list. You can easily add your favorite audio files in formats like MP3 or WAV and assign them to specific hotkeys. This means you can play a specific meme or sound effect instantly with just one keypress while you’re busy playing an intense match, goofing around, or chatting with your friends.

One standout is the built-in normalization feature, which ensures that sounds aren't too loud or too quiet for listeners. It also includes a handy recorder that can capture sounds directly from the computer or a microphone. This makes it easy to grab a quick clip from a video and turn it into a reusable soundbite for any future conversation or for your next gameplay as an inside joke callback.

However, there are a few frustrating downsides to consider. The program requires a full system restart to work properly, which can be annoying. Additionally, it forces you to disable Windows audio DRM validation, which prevents you from watching protected movies while the app is active. Some users also notice that the volume controls do not always respond as expected during a live voice call.

A fun audio program

In the end, Soundpad is a fantastic and cheap way to make online voice chats more entertaining. While it has some technical quirks like the DRM issue, its ease of use and high sound quality make it a top choice for soundboard fans. It provides a simple way to express yourself with audio, making it a reliable tool for anyone looking for some extra fun online.
