Al-Hijr is an Arabic word meaning "The Book" or "The Word." It is the fourth of the five books of the Qur'an, the sacred book of Muslims, which was revealed to the Prophet Muhammed. In Islam, the Qur'an is the most important religious text, which Muslims believe to be a revelation from God (Allah).

The main objective of the application is to facilitate the reading of the Qur'an in the Arabic language for all Muslims, regardless of their level of understanding of this religion, or any other religion for that matter.

The application provides the facility of reading the Qur'an in the Arabic language in two different ways. In the first way, you can select the surah (chapter) from the page, and read it directly from the page. In the second way, you can select a specific verse from the page and click on the "Read" button, and this will directly take you to the selected verse in the Qur'an.
