Snowflake is a free Chrome extension developed by the-tor-project. Designed to help users in censored countries access the Tor network, Snowflake allows individuals to bypass censorship and connect to the Internet without restrictions. By running the Snowflake extension, users can contribute their network connection to help others in censored countries access the Tor network.

Installing and enabling the Snowflake extension is all that is required to start helping people in censored countries. Once the snowflake icon turns green, it indicates that a censored user is connecting through your extension to access the Internet. It is important to note that there is no need to worry about the websites being accessed through your Snowflake extension, as the visible browsing IP address will match the Tor exit node of the censored user, not yours.

For users in censored countries, Snowflake is available as a circumvention feature embedded within existing apps such as Tor Browser on Desktop and Android, Onion Browser on iOS, and Orbot on Android and iOS. By activating Snowflake through these apps' settings page, individuals can bypass censorship and access the Tor network.
